Introduction

In Blood River: Drama Info and Recap Episodes 1 to 8, you found out about the blood bath fighting over the Sleeping Dragon Sword aka the leadership symbol in the Blood River Guild. We were introduced to Su Muyu, and he was named the Umbrella Ghost. We hadn’t seen his hidden umbrella weapon with his signature Eighteen Sword Formation. That was meant to kill the very tough villains, not his brothers in the guild. While searching for the featured image for this second part, I made a screenshot of the Eighteen Sword Formation during the fight between Muyu and the grandmaster villains in Episode 16. It was a cool sight to see, especially if when we learned about his hidden weapon.

The Eighteen Sword Formation

So, we know that Muyu’s signature martial arts technique is the Eighteen Sword Formation or Eighteen Sword Array. The formation utilizes eighteen separate swords (or daggers/blades) cleverly concealed with his custom-made umbrella, his primary weapon.

The umbrella has a magnetic function that allows the swords to return to it after being deployed in the formation, a practical design suggested by Changhe to avoid the embarrassment for the assassin to pick up individual swords. Muyu used to pick up every dagger after missions were accomplished. After Su Changhe became the patriarch, he paid to upgrade the umbrella, since Muyu was a miser, lol.

The Eighteen Sword Formation is a highly effective and top-tier killing array, a skill Muyu mastered and is known for throughout the martial arts world. In the drama, he used this formation in key battles facing tough villains in Blood River (暗河传).

Recap Episodes 9 to 18

Episode 9

Muyu and Hehuai returned to the Spider’s Nest only to find there was another sword by his side. What? Even Muyu was tricked! The patriarch explained that there were two swords forged from the same meteorite. The first was in his hand, which held Blood River’s secret. The second one was the one taken by Muyu. Originally, the patriarch thought that if the Su Family’s head could hold the sword and quell the turmoil in the Blood River, he would give the first sword to him. But since he couldn’t hold it, the sword ignited people’s ambition, and every family leader would fight. The second sword was to clear the greedy older generation, and only the new generation with modern thinking would remain; then there was a chance that finally everyone could be free.

Not sure if only the older generation was greedy, perhaps the younger generation, too? Anyway, Changhe seized the opportunity that the Su family leader was exhausted from fighting people, so he took the Su family leadership by force. Changhe actually was also a Nameless, so he was not supposed to inherit the Su family leadership. But the leader’s son was weak. Changhe didn’t kill the family leader, but kick him and his son out. As the new Su family leader, he also established The Other Shore guild to extricate Blood River from the shadows and establish a new existence that is not controlled by anyone.

Changhe was surprised when he heard that Muyu didn’t chase Mu Ciling to get the sword back; he suspected something was wrong with the sword in the Mu family’s hand. He and the others went to the Spider’s Nest to see Muyu. Someone else already came before them. Who was it? It was Tang Lianyue, who sought revenge for the second master Tang, his uncle. He took care of Yumo carefully all these days when our guys were fighting for the patriarch, but left her at the inn for his mission. It seemed both of them were attracted to each other, but they might be star-crossed lovers.

Changhe met Muyu. Muyu gave him two keys, which were given by the patriarch. The patriarch told him to go to Tianqi City, and someone would find him. Muyu had to give the keys to the person who would open boxes that held his secret, as well as Changhe’s. The patriarch erased their names from the Blood River, too; they were free to go anywhere. The patriarch gave him a box that, besides the keys, also contained the secret of the fall of Wujian City, his hometown.

Changhe also gave him The Other Shore to join. Muyu didn’t want to fight anymore as an assassin. Changhe challenged him to fight. If Muyu wins, Changhe would follow Muyu to disband the Blood River Guild. If Changhe wins, Muyu would join him on the other shore. Muyu still rejected the new assassin guild idea because the patriarch said there was a powerful hand above him and the officials. If they fight them, many people would die. Suddenly, a woman showed up. She was none other than Li Hanyi, who was known as “Xueyu Sword Deity”. She was the sister of Lei Wujie, the male lead in The Blood of Youth. At first, Hanyi wanted to work together with Changhe’s idea for a new guild, but now she agreed to the disbandment to find out who held the imminent power behind the scenes.

They heard the commotion inside the compound. The patriarch and Tang Lianyue were ready to fight. Muyu and Changhe rushed to the scene. Lianyue saw that the poison created by his second master relapsed; although the patriarch only stirred his inner force a little. Lianyue knew the patriarch would last long, so he bade goodbye and left. The patriarch understood that his time was little, so he talked to Muyu and Changhe privately.

The patriarch reminisced about his friendship with Kewen (that was the housekeeper’s name) and likened it to Muyu and Changhe’s friendship. He could guess each intention: Muyu to disband the Blood River, so everyone could live freely. Changhe to change the Blood River to a brighter future. Mu Mingce warned them that the people behind the Blood River were far more powerful. Muyu asked for the truth behind the guild, and the patriarch said they could find it in a secret passage in his bedroom. He then bowed to Muyu and thanked him for being by his side (as well as Kewen), and he didn’t feel alone. Muyu knelt in front of the patriarch to thank him for saving his and Changhe’s lives back then. This convo between Mu Mingce and Muyu was so sad yet beautiful. Mingce then stabbed the sword onto the ground and turned around. He said he would burn down the place after Muyu and Changhe left. Wait! I thought he wanted to give the Spider’s Nest to Hehuai as a treatment payment?

Changhe still tried to persuade Muyu to take the Blood River position to be the new patriarch. While they were arguing, suddenly they realized there were two onlookers: Shuiguan, the Water Official from the Soul Reaper’s Hall, and Mu Ciling. Although Muyu disagreed with Changhe in whatever he said, only one thing he agreed with his friend, their motto: Together they never lost!

Episode 10

Mu Ciling wanted to snatch the Sleeping Dragon Sword, but Muyu and Changhe were naturally unwilling to do so. Muyu set up the Eighteen Sword Formation to fight Ciling. However, Muyu was still slightly inferior to Ciling. Changhe came to his aid, even using Ciling’s Yama Palm. Still, Changhe was no match for Ciling. In the end, the two of them teamed up to drive Ciling away, but both of them were injured. Muyu was shocked to find out that Changhe used the forbidden technique he had secretly learned, and warned his best friend. Moreover, Muyu was worried about Changhe messing up with the guild. In the past, Changhe turned a simple task into a huge mess every time, putting the two of them into crisis several times. Once he loses his control, everyone around him will likely be in danger due to greed, sooo… Muyu decided to stay in the Blood River, much to Changhe’s surprise and excitement. Muyu took Changhe’s position as the Su family head, while Changhe became the new patriarch. Poor Spider Shadow assassins! They thought Muyu would be the new patriarch…

The old generation, the family leaders, still fought against each other until they were severely wounded and crippled. Once done, the younger generation left to see Muyu and Changhe. The oldest one alive among the families was maybe Uncle Zhe, who secretly watched everything that happened with full attention.

While bloodshed everywhere, in the quiet place of Spider’s Nest, a hooded man came to see the dying Mu Mingce. He scolded that Mingce had made a huge mistake and killed him with fire, the Yama’s Palm? Hmm… I wonder why this hooded man had to kill Mingce? Mingce already spilled some secrets to Muyu. Did the mysterious man burn the secret passageway, too?

Some cute time after all the blood baths! Muyu helped Hehuai with her medical practice. Girls lined up, not to see the doctor, but to see the handsome Muyu, hahaha!

Changhe was playing around with his new toy, the Sleeping Dragon Sword. He was wondering why this sword was so special when suddenly discovered a mechanism hidden on the hilt of the sword!

Episode 11

Changhe came to find his best friend in Nan’an City, who ‘entertained’ Hehuai’s patients with his bad cooking skills. This guy, after mastering sword fights and killing, now had a new hobby: learned how to cook! He even made a guest, Xie Xuan, the Scholarly Sword Deity, cook for the hosts because Xie Xuan finally saw Muyu smile. Li Hanyi, who went to the place because she was suspicious of Muyu’s intention of hanging out in Nan’an City, was invited to dinner by Hehuai, too. When Changhe arrived, he sparred with Li Hanyi. The latter was unhappy that the plan had changed from what she was promised: now Changhe was the patriarch and Muyu was the head of the Su family. Muyu and Changhe promised Hanyi a new kind of Blood River guild. Before Xie Xuan left, the wise scholar advised Muyu and Changhe using a passage from a book. They need to be single-minded:

“Hearing snow outside the window, so near yet so far.” The nearness and distance between you depends on single thought. I hope your nearness this time lasts till the end.

Different people united in a toast and a good meal: an assassin, a scholar, a true heroine, and a physician. The latter pretended to fall asleep to let others talk business.

Changhe showed Muyu the secret of the sword: a key to the Yellow Springs Pawnshop. They realized that Blood River kept all the money from the killings in that place. It was not a pawnshop but the most secret bank in jianghu. Changhe and Muyu decided to check it out, and Muyu said goodbye to Hehuai, worth a thousand words. Awww!

Episode 12

After a mysterious boat trip, Muyu and Changhe arrived at the Yellow Springs Pawnshop. The pawnshop keeper saw the key and commented that it had been a while since someone had visited this place. This so-called pawnshop was a massive vault. The shopkeeper said that every clan stashed their wealth here. The Blood River’s massive wealth was impressive. The first room of gold bars. The second room of famous weapons from the annihilated clans. Muyu stared at his father’s sword he remembered since little. The third room of gunpowder and sorts of ammunition that could explode the bank stronghold. And lastly, the fourth room of famous poisons that was put into a giant python. Although the two were in awe, they could maintain their composure. Muyu was still cold-headed and said this was a pawnshop anyway, and there was a price to pay. The shopkeeper said, the price was paid long time ago when the guild took killing mission. In fact, half of the mission came from the pawnshop.

Muyu found his father’s sword, which was confiscated by the Blood River during the city annihilation

While the shopkeeper was talking, the three officials from the Soul Reaper Hall showed up. They all wanted to fight, but the shopkeeper broke up the argument. It turned out, the secret key inside the Sleeping Dragon Sword was ONLY to look at the treasure, but the token from the officials was to retrieve the treasure. They sent an invitation to Tianqi City. The person who invited them was the descendant of the ancestors who formed the Blood River. Hmm… the emperor or the royal family member, perhaps? They would get the answers to the Blood River secrets in Tianqi City.

Muyu went to the Imperial Astronomical Bureau, but the State Preceptor and Director of Astronomy didn’t want to meet him, so he went to the inn and hosted a banquet for a guest. True enough, someone from the Shadow Sect, Tianqi City’s secret agent, came to check him out. Lol, eventually, the table of food was for Muyu himself. Nobody came, and Muyu only wants to talk to the leader of the Shadow Sect tomorrow. Before the meeting, he asked Uncle Zhe to do some intel work to find out about the Shadow Sect. It turned out their enemies were Prince Langya Xiao Ruofeng, the four Guardians of Tianqi City, and the Inner Security Division established by the Prince. So, the Shadow Sect gave an order to the Soul Reapers’ Hall for the patriarch Mu Mingce to deal with the second master of Tang to lure Tang Lianyue, the Xuanwu Guardian of Tianqi City, out of the city and deal with the Blood River. Muyu realized this Tianqi City issue was deeper than he thought.

Muyu met the leader of the Shadow Sect, who ordered him to kill Prince Langya. We knew it was the first prince who wanted to kill him for fear of Langya’s military power. Muyu refused, although being threatened that the Shadow Sect would spread info about the Blood River guild to the public.

Episode 13

Since things got complicated, Muyu asked for reinforcement. First to arrive was Uncle Zhe, who, after retirement, had his own will and pace to do things. Muyu told him about the Shadow Sect’s order to eliminate Prince Langya, but Muyu said he was the royal family’s first lineage. His gut said not to kill, but the Shadow Sect threatened him with the Blood River’s guild info. He had to steal the info from Wanjuan Tower, but it was heavily guarded. Uncle Zhe suggested that they pretend to help the Shadow Sect, but actually let Prince Langya destroy the Sect. Muyu lamented that he thought the battle with the patriarchal succession was the end of all this; he didn’t realize there was a deeper issue. Uncle Zhe comforted him that when there were people, there were jianghu, where there were jianghu, there were conflicts. Let’s have fun first, and the Uncle pulled Muyu to the brothel, lmao! He intended to see if this guy was a reliable man for his daughter or not, hahaha! Muyu was reliable enough; all he did was listen to the music.

Hehuai told Muyu off about his going to the brothel like a wife confronting her husband!

The next reinforcement was Changhe, who took some of the assassins, and Hehuai. He wanted to be on her good side, since the last time he wanted to kill her, and she was still resentful of him. So he came to her clinic and asked if she wanted to tag along to find Muyu. They came at the right time, since Muyu was attacked by the three officials from the Soul Reaper’s Hall. Hehuai, who initially was angry knowing Muyu went to the brothel, gave him medicine. Unfortunately, Muyu was poisoned by the Water Official and taken to the Shadow Sect’s prison. The Sect’s leader wanted to use Muyu as leverage for Changhe to take the order to kill Prince Langya.

Episode 14

This episode was a filler while we were waiting for Muyu to get out of prison. But it was a nice filler. There were lonely people here; the whole tone was quite sad.

Changhe knew he didn’t have any authority to get Muyu out of the prison, so he decided to track down Prince Langya. This prince, poor thing, slipped out by himself to drink at the tavern alone. He even missed his old teacher Mr. Li. Naturally, Changhe easily walked into the tavern. Langya knew he was the new patriarch of the Blood River, so he asked the tavern owner to clear out the guests and bill the expenses for today’s loss to his butler. Changhe could guess that Langya was lonely, so he went out alone, since he wanted to know if the world could function without him. Langya said that if Changhe were not the patriarch of the Blood River, he would look forward to sitting down and having a drink with Changhe.

I like the actor who played Prince Langya, as he made the prince look imposing and majestic without being overly handsome. He was also Prince Langya in Dashing Youth and Prince Langya’s son in Blood of Youth.

Changhe and Langya started fighting. Langya hadn’t used his sword for a long time, so, suddenly, Li Xinyue (Li Hanyi’s mother), Azure Dragon, one of the Guardians of Tianqi City, showed up to help Langya. This swordwoman was really powerful and hurt Changhe. Luckily, Uncle Zhe showed up, too. The Uncle and Langya had known and respected each other during one of Uncle’s missions before. Langya asked Li Xinyue to let the Blood River people go, and they parted ways.

The second lonely person was poor Muyu in prison. The poison made him hallucinate his father. His father was happy that Muyu had friends by his side.

Even if all this is just an illusion, I still can’t help but want to talk with you

The last lonely person was the old woman Muyu and Changhe met along their mission to kill people. It was during Mid Mid-Autumn Festival or the Chinese New Year. They were hungry. Suddenly, an old woman opened the gate and invited them in to have a New Year’s Eve dinner with her. Her family was dead, but she still prepared the holiday dinner. Changhe, who never had a family but his wandering brother said that this was the best New Year’s Eve dinner they had ever had. They finished their meal and quietly kept the money they had. After they left, they saw beautiful fireworks in the yard. Muyu’s face was filled with a smile, admiring the fireworks in the sky. They were very happy at this moment, and even longed to live such an ordinary life. Changhe looked at the fireworks in the sky, turned to Muyu, and said Happy New Year.

Episode 15

The Water Official went to the prison to have a physician check on Muyu’s wound and change his food, and now he got fried tofu puffs and warm rice as the same ones he ate during Chinese New Year at the old lady’s house, at the end of Episode 14. This Water Official was a very interesting person. His real name was Su Henshui, so I wonder if he was originally from the Su Family. And at the end of Episode 13, when he visited Muyu with the other official, he told Muyu je wanted to live for himself. He might get motivation from the new Blood River’s mission to be free. From now on I called him

The Water Official filled in the news outside. Changhe tried to assassinate Langya but failed. Now he sent in more Blood River’s assassins. Mu Ciling showed up. Muyu sent a letter to him last time, and said that he could help Ciling detoxify him. The pretty assassins, Xuewei and Yumo, also came, and the Xie family’s new leader. Hehuai wanted to be counted in, too. Her father, got the most important task.

The CGI during the battle between Uncle Zhe and Prince Langya was truly amazing

Uncle Zhe went to the temple where Prince Langya and a priest were, and coaxed Langya to fight after disabling the temple’s bell. The ones who guarded Prince Langya, Li Xinyue, and the other Guardian of Tian Qi City, thought that the Blood River had overestimated themselves by bringing so few people. However, the target was actually not Prince Langya, but Wanjuan Tower, which held the records of the Blood River guild. Muyu wanted to destroy it. With Uncle Zhe attacking the prince, more guards were retracted from Wanjuan Tower to guard the prince.

Yumo and Hehuai went to the prison and released a spider with an antidote to Muyu’s poison. Yumo trained the spider that swallowed Hehuai’s antidote. Detestfully, Muyu swallowed the spider to heal him. Muyu used his father’s Haoran sword energy to break out of the prison. Outside, the Water Official was already waiting with Mu Hongying. The Water Official rebelled from his fellow Soul Reapers’ Hall colleague, and Changhe killed them. So from now on, pretty much the Water Official didn’t have a job anymore, lol, so I would call him Su Henshui or Henshui. Hongying was originally the beautiful ferrywoman who took Muyu and Changhe to the Yellow Springs Pawnshop. Impressed by her skills in impersonation, he later came back to buy her from the bank shopkeeper, and she was recruited into the Mu family. Hongying impersonated the Shadow Sect leader to go to the prison and trick the guards. Muyu left to Wanjuan Tower while Hongying and Henshui dealt with the rest of the prison guards.

Episode 16

The duels between two strong people were very awesome to watch:

Firstly, Prince Langya and Uncle Zhe. After Uncle Zhe got the info that Muyu and Changhe had already arrived at the Wanjuan Tower, he and the prince stopped. Langya understood that the Uncle didn’t come to kill him but to distract the guards. He was happy that he exercised his sword skills. The two praised each other’s skills, said farewell, and Uncle Zhe departed.

Secondly, Mu Ciling dealt with Mu Zizhe, his martial arts brother and the previous head of the Mu Family. The latter scoffed at Mu Ciling for taking orders from a Su (Changhe), but Ciling said there were no more divisions now in this new Blood River guild. He only lived for his own sake. Besides, Mu Zizhe was more of a traitor than Ciling, because he worked for the Shadow Sect now. The fight was awesome, with Mu Zizhe playing zither as his weapon and the string tied and pulled Ciling’s sword. At the end, Zizhe lost and, after reminiscing about their childhood, Zizhe killed himself. His death was beautiful, with him releasing white butterflies, which in turn ate his body until he disappeared. I was like watching a xianxia! How could a mortal body die like that?

The suicide of Mu Zhizhe, the former head of the Mu family. Never seen such death before. Another amazing CGI!

Finally, Muyu walked down the empty Wanjuan Tower ground because every guard had been pulled to protect Prince Langya. It turned out he faced Xie Zaiye, a skilled arrow shooter. Muyu was not completely healed yet, so he had a strong opponent this time. And he was indeed a Xie family member. Changhe arrived to help his best friend. On the Xie’s side, three grandmasters showed up, and their surnames were Su, Mu, and Xie. Grandmaster Xie was Xie Zaiye’s grandfather. They were indeed the real descendants of the families. The Shadow Sect and the Blood River were indeed tied together. But Muyu and Changhe said they didn’t bear their surnames, so they didn’t care about family ties. Grandmaster Mu wanted to fight Muyu, but when he saw the sword movement, he wondered about Muyu’s background. It turned out they knew something about the Wujian City’s annihilation and Zhuo Yuluo, Muyu’s father. The three grandmasters teamed up to find Muyu with his Eighteen Sword Formation, while Muyu didn’t allow Changhe to help. One of the grandmasters was injured. Muyu gave a speech that the Blood River guild also wanted to live in the light, the same as these three grandmasters, who now became nobles, no longer assassins. After they thought about it, these grandmasters had experienced comfortable and luxurious lives and no longer wanted to die. So they left the place. Muyu would burn down the Wanjuan Tower, and Changhe would deal with the leader of the Shadow Sect.

Episode 17

The massive Wanjuan Tower was categorized by places and groups. There was a special record on Baili Dongjun, hahaha! (he was the protagonist in Dashing Youth.) Xie Zaiye took Muyu inside the secret records with a key, and Muyu used the two keys given by the former patriarch to retrieve the records of him and Changhe. Muyu pretended to be weak and dropped something to retrieve Changhe’s record. Xie Zaiye wanted to use this opportunity to kill Muyu as per Grandpa Xie’s instruction, but Muyu, as an assassin, was always alert. After Muyu obtained the records, he ordered Zaiye to burn down the place.

Outside, Changhe killed the leader of the Shadow Sect. He also took the Yellow Springs Pawnshop, so he could retrieve the Blood River guild treasure. Muyu handed him his record, but Changhe destroyed it and declared that there was no point in fussing about the past; now he and Muyu had only tomorrow.

In the imperial family, the Emperor was unhappy because the Shadow Sect and its leader were dead, and the Wanjuan Tower was burned down. The First Prince, the Emperor’s son, was careless, even though initially he wanted to use the Shadow Sect to get rid of Prince Langya. On the contrary, Prince Langya was happy that the Shadow Sect was gone and explained to the Azure Dragon that they had only staged the act yesterday with him and Uncle Zhe. He even said he would help Muyu and Changhe if they needed him. The Blood River’s shackles were gone; now they only had to deal with rumors and prejudice.

Muyu wanted to go back to his hometown, which was called Homeland, so Changhe went with him. His own plan was to kill Su Xiemo, who was involved with the annihilation of Wujian City. There, he reunited with Xiao Zhaoyan, Muyu’s childhood friend (?), whom he regarded as his sister. When he entered the Blood River Guild, Muyu asked the patriarch to place Zhaoyan in Homeland. Uncle Xiemo was also there and was very concerned about Muyu and Changhe’s visit.

On the way back from Tianqi City, after Mission Wanjuan Tower was accomplished. Muyu rarely smiled, but when he smiled he looked so handsome!

Episode 18

Changhe pretended to be asleep, so Muyu could talk to his sister. He showed her the papers he obtained from Wanjuan Tower. Besides Xiemo, there were 18 Blood River’s assassins who were involved in Wujian City’s annihilation, survived, and lived in Homeland.

Muyu visited Uncle Xiemo. 17 other survivors were waiting outside, but Muyu said there were 18 swords inside his umbrella to kill everyone. In addition, Changhe, who was not drunk, was standing on guard on the rooftop. Muyu revealed that he was the Zhuo Yuluo’s surviving son. Uncle Xiemo acknowledged the Zhuo Family’s sword technique and revealed the past mission. When the old patriarch received the mission, at first, he refused because of the massive scale. However, the Soul Reaper’s Hall officials were adamant about it. Out of 93 skilled assassins dispatched, only 18 survived. They, too, were hunted down. The patriarch suspected there was a leak, which was suspicious, since the identities of their customers were usually unknown. Thus, there was no need to silence the assassins. When the assassins entered Wujian City, another group was already fighting for the sword manual. Judging from the sword technique, Uncle Xiemo identified it as from Wushuang City. Muyu was shocked because his father used to praise the swordsmanship skills of Liu Yunqi, the former leader of Wushuan City. Muyu let them live, because according to Blood River’s rule, the people who lived in the Homeland were already free, and their sins were washed away. He would go for the real mastermind behind it.

But Muyu was not stupid. He wanted to make sure the document retrieved from Wanjuan Tower was authentic or not. We knew through an unimportant scene between the first prince and the shooter Xie Zaiye that the documents in Wanjuan Tower might not be authentic. So he went to meet Ji Ruofeng, the White Tiger Guardian of Tian Qi City and leader of Bai Xiao Hall. Baixiao Hall was an intelligence-gathering body known for having information on nearly everything and everyone. They are information brokers; their primary role is gathering and disseminating information, which they sometimes sell or use for their own purposes. Muyu gave Master Ji the book about Baixiao Hall that he obtained from Wanjuan Tower. In exchange for that, he asked Master Ji to authenticate the content. After examining, Master Ji stated that the content was real, but it was stolen from Baixiao Hall and duplicated. It seemed the one who did it wanted to summarize the info to please Muyu or use him to take certain action. In other words, someone wanted to use Muyu to kill Liu Yunqi.

After that, a relaxing scene. Muyu bought osthmanthus cake, Hehuai favorite, and went to see her. The apothecary is now called Heyu, which is half Hehuai, half Muyu. How romantic! Hehuai reasons that she wanted to share the financial burden with Muyu, since he was her herbal grinder. Changhe has already returned with Xiao Zhaoyan when Muyu met Master Ji. Hehuai was suspicious and a bit jealous of Zhaoyan, whom I now didn’t really know if she was Muyu’s childhood friend or her real sister. She could be his biological sister, but was given a different surname to protect her. Muyu took her out of Homeland because outsiders might have grudges against the former Blood River assassins who lived there. By taking her here and entrusting her to Hehuai, since it was safer with her and Uncle Zhe, Hehuai knew Muyu still had some unfinished business.

Changhe and Zhaoyan returned with a bunch of furniture and stuff. He wanted to make this place his home, too, lol. As the patriarch of Blood River, he now had a lot of money to spend after retrieving the other key from the Secret Shadow’s leader, which matched his patriarchal’s to obtain Blood River’s massive treasure from Yellow Springs Pawnshop.

Conclusion

Well, it seemed the Tianqi City arc was temporarily done with the eradication of the Secret Shadow group and the burning of the Wanjuan Tower. Temporarily, since I was suspicious, we would go back to some of the key characters there, especially the imperial family. Where would Su Muyu go next? Let’s continue in the third part: Blood River: Drama Recap Episodes 19 to 28.
