Review
Story and Plot
- The story revolves around a series of murders. It heavily explores netizenship, online obsession, and digital misinformation.
- The drama sends social commentary of the dark side of internet fame and how social media misuse can lead to dangerous, real-world consequences.
- Despite the power of millions of followers, the social influencer characters often lose control of their private lives and personal safety once they become public property.
- Another message is the consequences of “stunts for clicks”, the practice of performing dangerous, extreme, or highly unusual actions specifically to generate viral attention, social media engagement, and increased online traffic.
- While the social media premise is unique with plot twists, the storyline is typical crime and somewhat predictable if you are a hardcore crime fan. The clues are provided quite early in the drama.

Chen Chia Jen
Characterization and Acting
- The Male Lead Chen Chia Jen is an interesting three-dimensional character. His case-handling intuition was sharp, and his style was tough. He has an irritable personality and a habit of working alone.
- This senior detective was once a workaholic, but after the unexpected life moment, he lost focus on his life and doesn’t get along with his teenage daughter.

Chen Chia Jen and his detective partner Li Hsin Ping
- A unique teamwork formed between Chen Chia Jen, Li Hsin Ping, a tech-savvy detective, and Lin “You Zi” Ting Yu, a social influencer.
- Contrasting to Chen Chia Jen, Lin Ting Yu, the influencer, is straightforward, impulsive, and overly dramatic. He co-founded a popular internet celebrity boy band with his friends, with massive influence in the online world. After one band member became a victim in a criminal case, Lin Ting Yu instantly became the number one suspect. To clear his name, he decided to investigate the truth. Working alongside the hot-tempered old detective Chen Chia Jen, Lin Ting Yu steps from the virtual broadcast into the real crime scene.

Lin Ting Yu with his Internet boy band
- Ekin Cheng’s acting shines through in scenes depicting Chen Chia Jen’s disdain for the influencer and digital world, creating both tension with his team members and moments of humor as Chen Chia Jen reluctantly leverages it to solve cases.’

Visualization
- The cinematography incorporates a frantic and rapidly cut editing style. It mirrors the fast pace of the influencer world it depicts, and is designed for short attention spans.
- The visual effects show bruises, scrapes, and bloody injuries, along with scenes of corpses in various conditions.
