Episode 9
Wuyi was so angry, and she attacked Chi Wen with her might, especially since the Fox Queen had already given a mission to kill the Dragon Deity. Chi Wen easily restrained her using Xiao Wei’s power and imprisoned her in the Shilin Sect. Wangyan found out that her token was stolen by Wuyi. Si Feng, the double flower demon hunter from the Shiling Sect, urged her to prioritize the Dragon Deity’s mission.
Although Chi Wen prohibited Wuyi from running away, she still tried to. With the tricky maze around the Sect, Wuyi ended up in a beautiful flower garden tended by Ji Ling. Wuyi remembered their first meeting at Yumian Lake. He washed her bloody hand gently and taught her to cope with world cruelty by cupping her hands like a telescope, to focus only on the things she wanted to see. But she erased his memory of her, because she had to prioritize on her mission.
Chi Wen found Wuyi crying in the garden, but he didn’t respond to her plea to see Ji Ling again. Wuyi vandalized the Dragon Deity’s statue with graffiti and fell asleep on the base from exhaustion, which turned out to be Chi Wen’s lap. She woke up wearing Chi Wen’s robe and realized he had taken her back to her room. Chi Wen secretly ordered his servant to serve Wuyi a table of food. Wuyi decided to make the lives of the Sect people a living hell and wreak havoc. Chi Wen knew about it, but he felt amused. Not Li Jie, though. He had had enough with Wuyi’s temper tantrum and ended up having a combat with Wuyi that Chi Wen had to intervene.
As for Wangyan, she couldn’t do anything for Wuyi, so she set out on a journey together with Shiguang. Their destination was Ruined Sand to find the next piece of the Dragon Deity’s Power. Their mission was anticipated by the butterfly demon, Yuan Wuhuo, who met with the ancient demon Wu Zhiqi. He was the Chief of the Green Ape Tribe. Wu Zhiqi broke his oath to the Dragon Deity to save his tribe from petrification. He took back the power he lent to Chi Wen to put on the Star Stone he had. However, he still wasn’t able to free his people. Yuan Wuhuo told him that the only hope was Shiguang.
Episode 10
Wuyi’s hand was bleeding from fighting with Li Jie. Chi Wen washed her hands and his gesture was the same as what Ji Ling did back then. Wuyi thought that Ji Ling and Chi Wen were the same, or that Chi Wen carried all of Ji Ling’s memories. But Chi Wen flatly denied it. Because his time was running out, he decided to go to Ruined Sand to confront Wu Zhiqi, who had betrayed him by taking back his power. He told Wuyi that she had to go with him to Ruined Sand, then he would free her.
Shiguang and Wangyan arrived at Ruined Sand first and saw the petroglyphs depicting a love tragedy of Man Man from the Green Ape demon tribe and Di Zhu from the Aodeng tribe. Di Zhu’s dowry was the miraculous Star Stone that could heal people. Man Man wanted the Stone, so he killed every love rival. When people found out his deception, Man Man and his tribe took the Stone by force, sent a hurricane over the Aodeng tribe, and they perished.
Chi Wen, Wuyi, and Li Jie also arrived and met Shiguang and Wangyan. The wanted man, Wu Zhiqi, arrived, too, and wanted to take Shiguang’s prayer beads for his Star Stone. Remember, he was the Chief of the Green Ape Tribe that took the Stone from the Aodeng tribe. Chi Wen wanted to take his Dragon Deity’s power back from Wu Zhiqi. Shiguang’s prayer beads attacked the Star Stone in Wu Zhiqi’s hand, creating a massive prism of light. The light pulled all our leading characters into three illusions in the stone. Wu Zhiqi, You Chi, and Baize, who arrived later, were left outside the prism. Baize told Wu Zhiqi that Yuan Wuhuo had lied to Wu Zhiqi. His Star Stone was a dormant one. The true Star Stone is hidden within the illusions, and the ones who were trapped inside had to retrieve it.
Chi Wen and Wu Yi were transported to the Aodeng Tribe from 1000 years ago, as Man Man and Di Zhu. It was during the time for them to get married. Wu Yi found that her power was still intact, while Chi Wen was powerless in his role as Man Man. She got herself a pet snake called Little Nine. Li Jie was transported to the Green Ape Clan from 150 years ago, as Yuan Xizai, with his twin brother, Yuan Wuhuo. It was during the bloody war between humans and demons. Shiguang and Wangyan were transported to the Flood Dragon Clan from 100 years ago, as Canghao and his wife Qingyi. Shiguang found a baby in the river. The baby would be the current Shiguang.
Episode 11
As long as they were in the illusion, the scenes go back and forth in four different times and spaces: the three illusory realms and outside the illusion. I hope you won’t get confused. Also, I used their real names rather than their role names.
Shiguang brought the baby in and told Wangyan that the baby was his infant self, and she was his… wife. The fact that they had to sleep in the same bed was awkward but hilarious.
Chi Wen explained to Wuyi that everyone had to get the Star Stone from their respective era to get out of the illusion. Wuyi decided to wait for her “father” to ask about the Star Stone.
The prism was unstable. Bai Ze had to use his Eastern Purple Lightning power to stabilize the prism, or it would shatter, and the people inside the illusion would die.
Li Jie was not happy that Yuan Xizai was the twin of the butterfly demon Yuan Wuhuo. He was even more surprised that Yian Xizai came from a demonic tribe having a war with humans.
Wu Zhiqi learned from Bai Ze that his dormat Star Stone’s power can only be activated by a seal requiring Wu Shiguang’s blood. Upon learning that Wu Zhiqi needed the Stone to free his clansmen from petrification, You Chi went out to find a sample of Shiguang’s dried blood, dating back to when Shiguang saved him years ago. Shiguang was You Chi’s father’s disciple. When Shiguang took off for the revenge, You Chi came with him.
Wangyan noticed a heart-shaped birthmark on little Shiguang, and remembered a secret order from the past to bring anyone with such a mark to the Formless Moon Palace Sect.
There were several mysterious deaths in Aodeng Tribe, and the elders suspected that Chi Wen, an outsider, caused the disaster. Wuyi vowed to find the true killer within three days. Chi Wen had a secret meeting with the Green Ape tribe leader, the young version of Wu Zhiqi. He pressured Chi Wen to find the Star Stone before Di Zhu’s father returned. Wu Zhiqi released the sacred power seal on Chi Wen, so he could protect himself from the killer.
Episode 12
Ten years later in this time, Shiguang and Wangyan became a loving couple, and baby Shiguang became a little boy. One day, Shiguang Jr found a piece of glass. His parents realized it was the Star Stone. They went to look at the forest. Shiguang finally confessed to Wangyan that he had been stalling for years in the quest for Star Stone, because he wanted to wait until the day his tribe was annihilated. Somehow, he got amnesia that day. He only remembered seeing Wu Zhiqi. Wangyan promised to support him on that massacre day.
Wuyi was possessed by a demon, and she attacked her “father” upon his return. With his power back, Chi Wen exorcized the demon and suggested that Di Zhu’s father frame someone else to protect her daughter. Hmm… he was looking at the little snake! Later, Chi Wen suggested to Wu Zhiqi to join forces to capture the demon who coveted the Star Stone.
However, Li Jie found out that he, Yuan Xizai, was not from Green Ape Tribe. The tribal mark on his hand faded in the water. Yuan Wuhuo must’ve painted on him! His “brother” later revealed that he forced Xizai to swallow the dragon marrow that not only healed his blindness and illness but also made him super strong.
Yuan Wuhuo urged Li Jie that they must steal the Star Stone before it was sent to the battlefield or it would be gone. Li Jie suddenly realized that his “brother” was not the real one but Yuan Wuhuo, the butterfly demon!
Baize could sense what happened inside and at the time when Ji Lie realized that Yuan Wuhuo was not Yuan Xizao’s brother what the butterfly demon, Baize realized the same thing, too. The demon had used his Heavenly Stick to force an entry into the illusion and posed as Yuan Xizai’s brother!
Di Zhu purposely hid the Radiant Moon gem for her wedding prayer ceremony. The clan thought Man Man and Di Zhu were not a good match. Man Man presented Di Zhu with a flower hairpin, and Wuyi remembered Ji Ling had promised her to give a flower that never wilted. Di Zhu asked her father to use the Star Stone for their wedding prayer ceremony, but they planned to lure out the demon that wanted to steal the Star Stone.
At night, Qingyi had a nightmare again. At this time, she was from the Shilin Sect, and she was involved in the massacre of the Flood Dragon Tribe. Canghao stayed by the bedside to comfort her. They couldn’t help themselves with this romantic moment, and finally consummated their relationship.
The Green Ape Tribe leader, Wu Zhiqi, told Yuan Wuhuo and Li Jie, that many centuries ago, he sent Man Man to steal the Star Stone to save his sickly brother. But it led to the destruction of the entire Aodeng clan. Heaven punished him, and his brother was ultimately killed by humans. The incident led to a century of war between the demons and the humans. Yuan Wuhuo secretly replaced the clay figurine with a fake one and returned it to Wu Zhiqi.
Later, the old Wu Zhiqi tried to steal the fragment of the Star Stone. Shiguang and Wangyan tried fought Wu Zhiqi, but they were no match because they lost their power. At this time, a man suddenly arrived and drove Wu Zhiqi away. Shiguang recognized the Twelve Thoughts beads in his hand, which he used to fight Wu Zhiqi. The man was Xie Lingxi, a demon monk, who was his master. Xie Lingxi, in the past, didn’t know he would have a disciple called Shiguang. He was surprised that the man in front of him knew that mushrooms were his favorite food. Xie Lingxi eventually lived with Shiguang and Wangyan and taught little Shiguang survival skills.
Episode 13
Wangyan’s eyesight deteriorated to the point of blindness. Her host body, Qingyi, was from a clan branch that lived deep underground. She fell in love with Cang Hao and lived above ground. Unfortunately, the sunlight was too harsh for her eyes, and she gradually went blind.
With the love that grew between them and idyllic life in the Flood Dragon Tribe, Wangyan didn’t really want to leave and no longer fuss about finding the stone. Although her eyesight was getting worse, she saw Shiguang as her star. Decades later, the pair grew old, their hair turned grey. The pair remained devoted. Shiguang fed Wangyan and made her a cane.
Wuzhi Qi came every month to challenge Xie Lingxi, but he never won. Shiguang deduced that the two were more like old friends than enemies. One night, Wuzhi Qi took Xie Lingxi to Star Stone Ravine. Shiguang and Wangyan followed them secretly. At a different time, Wuyi and Chi Went were looking for the Star Stone that her “father: kept in the same Ravine.
Li Jie also followed Yuan Wuhuo to the same destination. They saw a young man named Tian Di, meant “heaven and earth”, an incarnation of the Start Stone! He had once accidentally triggered a massive hurricane because he couldn’t control his power. That was when he met Wu Zhiqi. The man helped Tian Di control his power by chaining him. Yuan Wuhuo tricked Tian Di, stating that Wu Zhiqi had chained him to use as a lethal weapon.
In the newer time, Wuzhi Qi told Xie Lingxi that he had stolen the Star Stone in the past, thinking that it could cure his brother. However, his tribe suffered from a wasting disease instead. He petrified his tribe using the spell taught by Tian Di, but the spell only froze their bodies, not their spirits. When Wuzhi Qi tried to kill himself, Chi Wen saved him and offered him a chance to redeem himself.
Almost at the same moment, a huge iron cage fell from the sky, covering the Yan brothers, a demonized Wuyi, and Xie Lingxi. Tian Di, in front of the Yan brothers, and Xie Lingxi in the cage, said the same sentences word by word. At that time, Shiguang and Wangyan realized that Xie Lingxi was the adult version of Tian Di!
In the Aodeng Tribe, Wuzhi Qi discovered that his tribesman impersonated Man Man, and who was looking for the same Star Stone. Wuzhi Qi attacked Chi Wen but was blocked by Wuyi. She didn’t have her power, so she was severely injured. She passed out in Chi Wen’s embrace. The sad thing was, her flower hairpin fell on the rock and shattered. Wuzhi Qi took the Star Stone and disappeared.
