Couple Moments Episodes 15 to 24
Episode 15
Yao Jingjing gave Qian Fei a cute stuffed bear. Qian Fei was delighted and joked that the bear, dressed in a suit, actually resembled Li Yifei. Her bestie immediately teased Qian Fei about her relationship with Li Yifei, pointing out that she kept mentioning his name.
Qian Fei went to look for Li Yifei at the gym because her friend, Lu Ze, accused her of proposing the plan to separate Xinxin Vision, Lu Ze’s company, from Shanlifang. Since she didn’t have any clue, she went to look for Li Yifei at the gym.
As she kept challenging him to increase the weight, Li Yifei ended up straining his arm. Feeling guilty, Qian Fei massaged the injury and helped him walk out. After Li Yifei explained the complicated implementation of her original proposal, Qian Fei asked him to help saving Xinxin Vision.
That evening, Qian Fei invited Yao Jingjing for dinner at her apartment. The real purpose was to tell her bestie about the Xinxin Vision situation. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. To their surprise, it was Wang Ruohai!
He came to collect money—specifically, the 500,000 yuan he claimed Qian Fei owed him for the apartment deposit. Qian Fei didn’t have the money at this moment, but promised to repay him as soon as she could. This scumbag then demanded Qian Fei to leave the Shanlifang project team, claiming that their past relationship created misunderstandings and placed him under tremendous pressure.
They started arguing. Fortunately, Li Yifei suddenly returns because he forgot his car keys. Li Yifei immediately subdued Wang Ruohai, who left immediately. Li Yifei reminded the girls to lock the door before heading out again.
When Li Yifei returned home later that night, he found that Qian Fei had saved the dinner leftovers specifically for him, as a thank you for teaching Wang Ruohai a lesson.
Episode 16
To pay her debt to Wang Ruohai, Qian Fei took a translation gig. Li Yifei nagged her for putting her health at risk by not sleeping properly and eating instant noodles.
Lu Ze goes to Shanlifang to confront Li Yifei about the decision to separate Xinxin Vision from the company. They reviewed the contracts between Shanlifang and Xinxin Vision. The documents revealed that the agreements between the two companies were structured as loans rather than investments.
Meanwhile, Yao Jingjing also went to Shanlifang to confront Wang Ruohai publicly. In front of everyone, she exposes his behavior and calls him out for being a heartless ex-boyfriend. She also brought 500,000 yuan cash and told Wang Ruohai not to harass Qian Fei again. Wang Ruohai finally revealed that his mother was severely ill, so he needed money badly. Qian Fei stepped in and promised that she would repay the money as soon as possible. Liao Shiyu called the security to kick out Yao Jingjing, but Lu Ze stepped forward and defended her girlfriend, creating an even bigger commotion. Liao Shiyu assumed that Lu Ze wanted to retaliate and deliberately staged the entire scene to cause trouble.
What a mess!
Episode 17
Lu Ze and Yao Jingjing brokeup.
People gossiped that Wang Ruohai cheated on his then-girlfriend while having an affair with his mistress, Liao Shiyu. Fang Yun wanted Qian Fei to apologize to Liao Shiyu to quiet the rumors, but Qian Fei refused because what happened at the lobby was not her fault.
Somehow, someone posted a video online of the embarrassing incident when Li Yifei threw out Wang Ruohai. Realizing that someone was deliberately fueling the controversy, Li Yifei ordered his people to handle the situation. He was able to suppress the situation by drinking heavily with representatives from social media. His friend, who accompanied him, teased that since he went all the way to help his landlady, he must have feelings for her.
The incident with the luxurious designer shirt that Qian Fei threw into the washer was hilarious. Li Yifei tried hard to sew back the delicate button back!
Episode 18
Not much happening in this episode that I wanted to highlight, because it was more about the side characters. It was only that the agricultural startup project Flora Siddha, which Li Yifei and his friends had been developing, was finally beginning to show promising results. Investors were ready to sign agreements. Yay!
Episode 19
More mess caused by Qian Fei’s besties, now it was from Dang Yu. When Yao Jingjing confronted Wang Ruohai, Dang Yu happened to be there and videotaped everything. She was angry, too, so she posted the video online, and it went viral. Shanlifang Hotel Group sued Dang Yu and Qian Fei, demanding public apologies and compensation from both.
The next morning, Qian Fei went to see Liao Shiyu, sincerely apologizing for letting her personal affairs affect the hotel’s reputation and asking for the lawyer’s letter to be withdrawn. Dang Yu also publicly apologized in her live broadcast. It was Liao Shiyu’s father who ordered the lawyers, but she said that since the legal department was involved, they had to go with the existing procedure.
Qian Fei was left out by Fang Yun and felt depressed the whole day until she got off work. Li Yifei took Qian Fei to the mall to buy clothes, and personally selected fashionable clothes and matched them with a pair of high heels. Qian Fei stood tall and slim after putting it on. Li Yifei was stunned seeing how beautiful Qian Fei was, with a slim figure and slender legs.
Episode 20
Qian Fei wore the clothes and high heels she bought and looked sharp and chic. It was good luck, because the lawyers had withdrawn the demands. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. The internet drama intensifies when the video of Qian Fei apologizing to Liao Shiyu in the parking garage went viral.
Liao Shiyu lost her patience and stormed into the Hejing meeting room, to confront Qian Fei. Liao Shiyu accused Qian Fei of orchestrating the leaked video to garner public sympathy and humiliate her. Liao Shiyu called Fang Yun and demanded Qian Fei’s immediate removal from the due diligence team. Surprisingly, Fang Yun flatly refused Liao Shiyu’s demand, stated that Hejing’s role was only to facilitate Shanlifang’s IPO, not manage PR crises. After Liao Shiyu left, Fang Yun reminded Qian Fei that she was currently a weak link in the project and must prove her worth through results.
At home, Qian Fei and Li Yifei celebrated her victory. Qian Fei expressed her admiration for a crosstalk actor named A Zhi very much. Tickets for his performances are hard to get. Li Yifei boasted that he could get two tickets in the VIP section. Qian Fei thought he was just bluffing, and made a bet she would take his last name if he could get her a ticket!
Episode 21
When Li Yifei waved two tickets to A Zhi’s crosstalk show in front of Qian Fei, she was so happy that she hugged Li Yifei tightly. Feeling her breast on him, Li Yifei was stunned and couldn’t help looking down her body.
Li Yifei wanted to go to the show with Qian Fei, even though he was not a fan of A Zhi. He kept one ticket and told her that he fell for A Zhi, lol. However, during the whole performance, while Qian Fei was completely captivated by A Zhi, Li Yifei could hardly focus. He tried to touch her hands but failed.
Wang Ruohai received a call from his father informing him that his mother had been hospitalized after learning that he and Qian Fei had broken up. He called Qian Fei and angrily accused her of contacting his mother. Just as Qian Fei was about to defend herself, she heard Wang Ruohai shout Li Yifei’s name before the call abruptly disconnected.
Li Yifei had actually gone to confront Wang Ruohai and beat him up. Li Yi Fei discovered that Wang Ruohai was the one responsible for editing and releasing the damaging videos. Before leaving, Li Yifei warned him that if he ever hurt Qian Fei again, he would not let him off so easily.
When Li Yifei returned home, Qian Fei immediately noticed the injuries on his face and rushed to treat them. Knowing that he had fought on her behalf, she felt deeply grateful. As she tended to his wounds, they found themselves standing very close together, and the atmosphere between them suddenly became charged with romantic tension.
Episode 22
Qian Fei disappointed Li Yifei because she would rather accompany her bestie Yao Jingjing, during New Year’s Eve. Somehow, Qian Fei, Yao Jingjing, Li Yifei, and Lu Ze ended up at the same karaoke bar. It was surprising that a big metropolitan like Shanghai seemed so small with all characters ended up at the same place!
Qian Fei and Yao Jingjing were harassed by some bad guys, but Li Yifei and Lu Ze rescued. The four ended up back at Qian Fei and Li Yifei’s apartment. Yao Jingjing, who was carried by Lu Ze to Qian Fei’s bed, didn’t want Lu Ze to go. They reconciled and slept together, while Qian Fei had to sleep on the couch.
Episode 23
Qian Fei’s father arranged a blind date for his daughter. She just went to the meeting out of courtesy, but dressed nicely. After learning she was going on a blind date, Li Yifei was shocked and insisted on going to “check out” the man for his beloved apprentice. He sat next to the table where Qian Fei and the man were sitting. The man was very pushy, and Qian Fei wanted to leave. The man stopped her and Li Yifei couldn’t hold back. He punched him in the face. Afterward, Li Yifei and Qian Fei left together, and Qian Fei thanked him for helping her.
Episode 24
When they were walking home, Li Yifei and Qian Fei were stopped by Jinzi, who liked Li Yifei. Qian Fei left the two and went in. When Li Yifei finally arrived home, Qian Fei asked Li Yifei why he had left his girlfriend so quickly. Li Yifei quickly denied that Jinzi was his girlfriend. Seeing Qian Fei clearly showing signs of jealousy, Li Yifei was very pleased. Qian Fei, trying to hide her feelings, returned to her room and vented her frustrations to her bear doll. In his room, Li Yifei was also speculating whether Qian Fei was jealous.
Qian Fei was cleaning the house when her father called, so she put him on the speaker. Her father asked about the guy who came with her and crashed her blind date. She quickly explained that the guy was his tenant and also a colleague. Her father thought the guy was a good man, so he told his daughter to go for him. Li Yifei overheard the convo from his room, so he walked out. He talked to Qian Fei sweetly. Her father was even more convinced that he was Qian Fei’s boyfriend. Qian Fei hung up in a hurry and told Li Yifei to move out. He refused, telling her what would happen if her father found out she broke up again.
Wang Ruohai’s mother was hospitalized in Shanghai for her surgery and she was very sad that her son and Qian Fei had broken up. Last time, Liao Shiyu paid for the surgery, but she didn’t have time to visit her future mother-in-law. Wang Ruohai called Qian Fei, and begged her to visit his mother. Although Li Yifei disagreed, Qian Fei still went. For her, it was just to show concern for an elderly woman, because Wang Ruohai’s mother had been good to her.
After the visit, Wang Ruohai apologized to Qian Fei about uploading the video of her meeting with Liao Shiyu. Qian Fei said she wouldn’t forgive him for that and insisted she would pay off her debt to him.
Well, Li Yifei must be right… After Qian Fei finished visiting Wang Ruohai’s mother, Liao Shiyu came to visit. She saw Qian Fei left, and was very angry at Wang Ruohai. She questioned why Wang Ruohai never told his parents about her. Wang Ruohai’s answer angered Liao Shiyu more. He said that because she didn’t have time to visit his mother. Liao Shiyu kicked him out of the car.
Shanlifang was once again exposed for shady dealings, and Liao Shiyu called an emergency meeting to discuss countermeasures. During the meeting, Qian Fei presented her ideas. Liao Shiyu—who had already been pissed off with Qian Fei’s visiting Wang Ruohai’s mother— immediately asked Qian Fei to leave the meeting room and kicked her out of the team.
TL;DR
- Wang Ruohai was desperate to get money for his sick mother, so he went to Qian Fei’s apartment to demand that she return the money from the apartment deposit. Li Yifei managed to throw Wang Ruohai out.
- Yao Jingjing, Qian Fei’s bestie, confronted Wang Ruohai and made a scene at the Shanlifang Hotel, causing a big mess.
- Li Yifei’s startup business began to show promising result.
- Liao Shiyu’s father ordered the company’s legal team to sue Qian Fei and Dang Yu. Dang Yu had videotaped what happened at the Shanlifang Hotel lobby and broadcasted. Luckily, the charge was later dropped.
- Li Yifei found out that Wang Ruohai was behind the second video filming Qian Fei’s apology to Liao Shiyu. Li Yifei beat the crap of Wang Ruohai.
- Qian Fei was kicked out of the team by Liao Shiyu. Liao Shiyu was angry because Qian Fei visited Wang Ruohai’s mother, who was hospitalized. Wang Ruohai also didn’t tell his parents about his relationship with Liao Shiyu.
What would happen to Qian Fei? Would she be able to go back to working at Hejing Securities? Let’s continue to the next part!
