Episode 24
Lu Qianqiao overheard Xin Mei told Xiao Sha, the informant guy who told him about the dancer, that she would like to return to Xin Xie Manor to be with her Master and her junior sister, Ah Sheng. He felt sad, and Xin Mei sensed that. She told him that she just wanted to be near her Master and Ah Sheng. Lu Qianqiao told her that when he became a human, he would lose his powers as a War Demon. He was worried he would no longer be able to protect her. Xin Mei didn’t care; she was willing to give up her practice and live an ordinary and happy life with him in Wei County with Lu Qianqiao’s foster children. They were happy and hugged each other.
Xin Mei and A Sheng finally reunited. A Sheng told Xin Mei that she drove Xia Xuanzi to the cliff, killed his sons, and burned down his lair. A Sheng finally collapsed, and Xin Mei was so sad seeing her sect sister covered with wounds. Xin Mei told Lu Qianqiao about how she met A Sheng.
When the Wushuang Society members finally entered the library, they worked day and night tirelessly without sleeping to copy the “Unparalleled Secret Magic.” Now it was the eighth day. Bai Zongying, Jiang Ji, and Sima Randeng discussed how to handle the Wushuang Society. Jiang Ji proposed to burn the Sihe Library. Although Bai Zongying disagreed, Sima Randeng thought this was a good idea.
A Sheng had a sister complex and was jealous of Xin Mei treating Lu Qianqiao sweetly. A Sheng warned Lu Qianqiao to stay away from Xin Mei. Lu Qianqiao didn’t buy it; he knew A Sheng was only acting. He told her that she was Xia Xuanzi’s daughter. She could escape from a place like Qianyan Cave and cross the desert to the capital alone. There was no way she was bullied by beggars. She just pretended to be weak to gain Xin Mei’s sympathy.
After that, A Sheng begged Xin Mei to return to Xin Xie Manor with her. She claimed she got nightmares and was traumatic with Beixiang. Xin Mei finally gave up and returned to Xin Xie Manor. When they said farewell, Lu Qianqiao promised he would come to find her in Xin Xie Manor once his finished his business in Beixiang.
Episode 25
This was a tragic episode. The immortal sect people burned down Sihe Library. They also blocked the entrances. Some of Wushuang Society members were burned alive inside, although some could escape and ran to the inn. The immortal sect people chased them down. People from Phoenix City didn’t know what was going on, but Lu Qianqiao knew. He tried to protect the Wushuang Society members with Meishan Jun and the female bodyguard Lu Xianying.
Xin Mei, who was about to leave Phoenix City, saw the fire at the Sihe Library and was suspicious because she knew the Wushuang Society members had gone there to copy “Unparalleled Secret Magic.” She cancelled her trip and ran to help them. Surprisingly, A Sheng also lent her hand.
The Wushuang Society members who escaped to the inn kept scrambling to copy down the contents of “Wushuang Secret Record” against the clock. Xin Mei arrived to stop Jiang Ji from entering the inn. During the fight, Lu Xianying helped Xin Mei, but she was no match for Jiang Ji and was killed by her sword. Seeing Lu Xiangying die in front of her, Xin Mei was very angry and sad. She condemned Jiang Ji and the immortal sect people as demons because they wanted power, enslaved people, bullied the weak, and committed heavy sins, including killing the innocents. At that critical moment, Xin Mei’s cultivation skills advanced to Nascent Soul.
Episode 26
After the copying was almost completed, the Wushuang Society members divided into two groups. The leader, Taishi Qian with others took the western route guarded by Meishan Jun, while Tang You led others with A Sheng to the northern route. After the Society members left, Xin Mei and Lu Qianqiao left, too.
Unfortunately, Taishi Qian and the Society members consumed too many Xingshen pills, which hurt their heart vessels, and they died. Before dying, Taishi Qian begged Meishan Jun to take the copied books back to the Central Plains. Meishan Jun left the dead Taishi Qian and others, taking the books and crying. Unarmed mortals fought against the immortals who had magic skills and were slandered as demons.
Xin Mei and Lu Qianqiao arrived too late and couldn’t revive Taishi Qian and the others. Then they found Meishan Jun, injured. Near him, the books were burned. Before they could find out what had happened, someone suddenly struck Meishan Jun. Lu Qianqiao and Xin Mei were shocked to see Xia Yuanzi off all people. He survived the Wushui Cliff! He struck Xin Mei with poisons, but Lu Qianqiao killed him, for good. Xin Mei fell into a coma and Lu Qianqiao also fell to the ground exhausted.
When he woke up, he was in a strange place. In front of him was Zuo Yingying. She said her sect leader, Fu Tian, rescued them. He was also treating Xin Mei and buried the Wushuang Society members. He said he was the Qinghong sect leader by name only. Nian Kong Fa Wang was in charge. The Bishui branch leader and Mr. Gu were on Nian Kong Fa Wang’s side, too. Fu Tian knew Lu Qianqiao was a Demon Warrior, but he was not against demons and was willing to make friends with Lu Qianqiao.
Episode 27
Neither Lu Xianying nor Meishan Jun died. As a cultivator, Lu Xianying had a magical protection, so Jiang Ji’s sword only bled her. She rescued Meishan Jun. However, just when they were about to leave, some people were chasing them. These people didn’t see from the immortal sects, and they caught the two.
When Lu Qianqiao was with Fu Tian, Zuo Yingying came to report that something was wrong with Xin Mei. She vomited blood, but didn’t show signs that she regained consciousness.
Meanwhile, the other group that fled with the rest of the books to the north was caught up by Sima Randeng and the other immortal sect members. Luckily, that was A Sheng’s trick. They found her guarding a carriage and fought with her, but the carriage was empty! A Sheng managed to escape unscathed.
Lu Qianqiao helped Futian translate the ancient book of the Zhangui clan. As an appreciation, Futian showed Lu Qianqiao an engraving of “Wushuang Secret Record”. When Lu Qianqiao asked Zu Yingying to find more engraving, she asked him for a favor. He gave her a painting of her hometown that she missed dearly. He painted the painting based on Zu Yingying’s description. She was so moved that she did something unexpected. She told Lu Qianqiao to take Xin Mei out of this place. Zu Yingying only said that the moon here was not bright enough. Lu Qianqiao thought that she might say something cryptic. After they finished working, Lu Qianqiao followed Zu Yingying secretly to the Qinghong Sect’s armory. Zuo Yingying intentionally let the door open and left. Lu Qianqiao sneaked in and saw Lu Xianying’s scimitar. He remembered Futian had told him that he had buried Lu Xianying with her weapon. Clearly, Futian had lied!
Lu Qianqiao tested Futian, but that old man was sly, so Lu Qianqiao couldn’t find anything. He went back to the area where Qinghong Sect’s armory was located. Upon checking, he found a switch to a secret room. When he opened it, he saw the bodies of cultivators with their spiritual roots missing. One of them was Lu Xianying! Apparently, after capturing Lu Xianying and Meishan Jun, they killed Lu Xianying. Meishan Jun was not a cultivator, so where was he?
Lu Qianqiao realized that Futian had hunted down the immortal Sect cultivators and poached all their spiritual roots. Futian appeared with his assistant. Lu Qianqiao confronted him and escaped from the secret room to find Xin Mei in her room. But she had disappeared! When Lu Qianqiao was panicking, Chu Ying appeared and took him away.
Where was Xin Mei? She was imprisoned next to Meishan Jun. When she woke up, Meishan Jun told her what he had experienced and bluntly said that the Sihe Library was a complete scam. The Qinghong Sect used the “Unparalleled Secret Magic” in the Sihe library to attract people from the Wushuang Society to go there. Next, they attracted people from the immortal sects to hunt down the Wushuang Society. The people from the Qinghong Sect had hunted and killed the cultivators, including Lu Xianying!
A Sheng reunited with Tang You and Xiao An, the rabbit demon who followed Meishan Jun. They told her that a man with one arm had saved them. The man taught Xiao An a sentence that was familiar to A Sheng. After she escorted Xiao An and Tang You to the border of the Central Plain to meet General Xiao Qin, she left to find the mysterious savior.
Episode 28
As expected, it was Jin Lun who saved Xiao An and Tang You. He survived the abyss, but his left arm was severed. A Sheng met Jin Lun, and she worried more that her father might have also survived and wounded Xin Mei. A Sheng’s attitude was cold to Jin Lun, who had helped her kill her father. She was not truly apologetic about Jin Lun’s condition, as she reminded him that she was the ruthless Xia Xuanzi’s daughter and that he chose to involve himself in her life. A Sheng left Jin Lun heartbroken. On her way to find Xin Mei, A Sheng was wounded by Xia Xuanzi’s black crow. She passed out and Fu Tian’s assistant found her. Later, A Sheng reunited with Xin Mei, in the dungeon!
Lu Qianqiao and Chu Ying returned to Liubo Temple to look for Lu Qianqiao’s master. The Temple was in ruin, and there was only a tomb of Master Duan Xianyin. Lu Qianqiao was shocked to find his name carved as the builder of the tomb. Finally, he remembered a tragic memory which he himself had sealed away. Duan Xianyin brought the little Lu Qianqiao back to Liubo Temple, but she used him and tortured him extremely. There was another boy in Liubo Temple who was the same age as Lu Qianqiao. He poisoned their master and then strangled her to death, together with Lu Qianqiao. By sealing his memory, he had fooled himself into thinking that he had a master and a home to return to.
Xin Mei possessed Nascent Soul, which needed to heal Nian Kong Fa Wang, who was not dead. Futian wanted to retract Xin Mei’s spiritual root but he failed. Xin Mei has already formed a blood contract with Lu Qianqiao, and the blood contract protects her body and prevents her spiritual roots from being dug up. At the same time, Lu Qianqiao in Liubo Temple felt an agonizing sensation through the blood pact. He realized that Xin Mei was in danger!
Episode 29
Futian could not retract Xin Mei’s spiritual root, and his power bounced back. Lu Qianqiao realized who tried to harm Xin Mei, he mentioned “Xiao Fan”. It must be his fellow disciple of Duan Xianyin. Later, Zuo Yingyin sent a letter to Chu Ying, asking to meet Lu Qianqiao. It was revealed that she was actually a mortal who entered the Qinghong Sect. Futian used the spiritual roots of the immortal sect cultivators to make gold liquid and change mortal disciples who wanted to be immortals, including her. However, Futian was also double-faced. He also made Yuan Yang pills and sold them to the immortal clans to enhance their power, heal their wounds, etc. She hated Futian because immortal clans killed her mortal friends. She wanted to cooperate with Lu Qianqiao to kill Futian.
Xin Mei was sent back to the dungeon, and now she was with A Sheng, Meishan Jun, and Lin Muhan. Xin Mei suddenly remembered the teachings of her master about the five elements of qi, which are divided into pure and impure qi. Both qis can be cultivated. After gathering the five elemental impurities, Lin Muhan activated the formation, with the assistance of Meishan Jun and A Sheng, and the plan succeeded. When Xin Mei was about to lift the seals for them, the Qinghong Sect elder came and took Lin Muhan away.
Zuo Yingying returned to her sect and sneaked into the armory to retrieve the weapons of A Sheng and others who were imprisoned. Unfortunately, Futian had suspected Zuo Yingying’s betrayal and stopped her. Jiang Ji disguised herself as a mortal and entered the Qinghong Sect to attend their grand ceremony. She was shocked to see that her fellow disciple, Lin Muhan, brought into the ceremony, to be sacrificed to make a mortal to an immortal!

- Fu Tian wanted to take Xin Mei’s spiritual root but failed. It activated the blood bond between Xin Mei and Lu Qianqiao, and he realized who Fu Tian was.
- Xin Mei cultivated her impure qi to break the seal of others, but Lin Muhan was taken away for sacrifice.
